SHPS to Offer Free Medicare Part D Webinar
Tom Scully, former administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, to present with industry experts

Louisville, Ky. (August 16, 2005) – SHPS, an Integrated Health Management provider based in Louisville, Ky., will rebroadcast its webinar on Medicare Part D (the prescription drug benefit) on Wednesday, Aug. 31, 2005 at 1 p.m. EST. The webinar is free to employers and HR administrators and features Tom Scully, former administrator for the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services, who was instrumental in the legislation’s passage.
“SHPS’ webinar was originally offered exclusively to SHPS’ clients. However, given the far-reaching impact of the Medicare Part D legislation, SHPS felt that it was beneficial to offer a rebroadcast to its industry peers and colleagues,” said Rishabh Mehrotra, SHPS’ corporate vice president and chief technology officer. “The event provides a great educational opportunity for individuals interested in learning more about the legislation, its benefits, impending deadlines and communications challenges.”
Presenting with Mr. Scully are Chip Kerby, partner, McDermott Will and Emery LLP and Bruce Gillis, SHPS’ COBRA and retiree administration product manager.
“Any employer that provides prescription drug coverage through an employer-sponsored plan should attend this webinar. We focus on the actions that they need to take in order to make sure their plans comply with the new law,” added Jeffery Lanzet, senior vice president, product management.
To reserve a spot at the event, please call Dianna Raisor at (502) 261-3568, at which time you will receive the web presentation and audio dial-in information.
