SHPS forges partnership with HealthMedia for development of efficacious health and wellness solutions

Louisville, Ky. and Ann Arbor, Mich. (February 13, 2008) – A new partnership between SHPS, a leading provider of health advocacy and health benefits solutions, and HealthMedia, Inc., the global leader in scalable, web-based behavior change interventions with outcomes, will power the evolution of SHPS’ suite of health management products.

“SHPS will seamlessly integrate HealthMedia's best-in-class health risk assessment (HRA) and online lifestyle management programs in the development and roll-out of its new, proprietary health and wellness programs,” says Krishnan Sastry, SHPS’ executive vice president, strategic development and innovation. “SHPS chose HealthMedia based upon its experience and reputation in the marketplace, as well as our philosophical alignment towards generating positive behavioral change.”

SHPS will utilize HealthMedia’s products including the HealthMedia® Succeed™ HRA, Breathe™ (smoking cessation), Balance™ (weight management), Nourish (nutrition) and Relax™ (stress management) online behavior change interventions. The partnership further extends SHPS’ capabilities to empower consumers with actionable information that results in improved individual health.
