Inland Empire Health Plan Completes Successful Activation of Landacorp's maxMC Solution

Chico, Calif. (December 29, 2006) – Landacorp, a SHPS company, a leading provider of integrated medical management solutions, today announced the successful implementation of its maxMC medical management product at Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) of San Bernardino, Calif.
IEHP deployed Landacorp’s maxMC modules for utilization management, case management and disease management, as well as its powerful rules-based processing tool kit and report writer. The tools enable organizations like IHEP to more efficiently administer their health plans and support the delivery of a high-quality, cost-effective healthcare for their members by improving workflow, enhancing intra-organization communication and coordination between provider and payer, and enhancing data capture.
“Thanks to a close, productive working relationship between IEHP and Landacorp, we experienced a remarkably smooth go-live process, providing immediate benefits to IEHP with minimal impact,” stated Jay Dunlap, general manager and vice president, operations and technology for Landacorp. “Landacorp believes that strong client partnerships are critical to successful implementations and IEHP has proven to be an exemplary partner.”
With the successful introduction of maxMC, IEHP has decided to begin implementing Landacorp’s web-based data stratification tool, CareTraxDS. CareTraxDS is
designed to bring an organization's disparate health data into one flexible structure. The cohesive picture of a member’s health information will allow IHEP health professionals to make appropriate healthcare decisions quickly and easily.
"With maxMC and CareTraxDS, IEHP has powerful new tools for improving the health status of our members,” said Bradley P. Gilbert, MD, chief medical officer for IEHP. “All departments that work with our members and providers are now tied together, with the ability to view and share medical management information on a real-time basis.”
