Louisville, Ky. (December 14, 2004) - Landacorp, a SHPS company, today announced an agreement with Preferred Care of Rochester, NY to implement Landacorp's maxMC medical management software. Preferred Care will implement the maxMC modules for Utilization Management, Case Management, Disease Management, Contact Management, and Appeals Management. Preferred Care will also make extensive use of Landacorp's powerful rules-based processing tool kit and report writer, as well as implement interfaces to their member, provider and claims systems.

Preferred Care, a managed healthcare plan, serves the health care needs of some 260,000 individuals throughout the nine counties of the Greater Rochester Region.
