Rishabh Mehrotra
President and Chief Executive Officer

Named president and CEO of SHPS in March 2006, Rishabh Mehrotra is transforming SHPS into a world-class provider of health advocacy and health benefits solutions. Mr. Mehrotra brings 19 years experience in healthcare, benefits and information technology to the position.

Described as a "visionary" by Managed Healthcare Executive, Mr. Mehrotra has spearheaded thought leading publications such as Making Consumerism Work: A Practical Guide for Transforming Healthcare; the 2007 SHPS Health Practices Study; and Making Medicaid Work, a book he co-authored with Newt Gingrich.

Before his appointment to CEO, Mr. Mehrotra served as SHPS president of human resources solutions and chief technology officer. He was a principal architect of SHPS’ integrated health delivery strategy, combining healthcare management and benefit plan administration to provide clients a single, comprehensive source of health management decision guidance. His tenure at SHPS is distinguished by growth, operational excellence, client satisfaction and innovation.

Prior to joining SHPS, Mr. Mehrotra was president and chief executive officer of Abilizer Solutions, Inc., a premier provider of presentation server infrastructure and human resources portals. He is a former consultant with McKinsey & Co., where he helped senior executives design and implement strategies that centered on growth, acquisition and organizational transformation.

Mr. Mehrotra is actively involved in the healthcare community, serving on the executive board of the Health Enterprises Network and the board of Leadership Louisville. Mr. Mehrotra is a graduate of Tufts University and holds a master of business administration degree from Harvard Business School.
