Krishnan Sastry
Executive Vice President, Strategic Development and Innovation

As executive vice president of strategic development and innovation, Krishnan Sastry is responsible for driving product strategy and strategic development initiatives. He defines the strategic integration plan and works closely with the various operating units to bring together an integrated healthcare consumerism strategy. Mr. Sastry brings more than 18 years experience building and deploying enterprise-class solutions for diverse industries including financial services, human resources and healthcare. He has also worked in core engineering, product management, product development, operations and professional services.

Prior to his current position, Mr. Sastry served as SHPS’ executive vice president of operations for health management solutions and senior vice president of product development, where he defined SHPS’ integration strategy, optimized business processes, and oversaw new product development. This included designing new client solutions and conducting technology analyses of acquisitions.

Before joining SHPS, Mr. Sastry was the director of product management for BEA Systems, where he was responsible for managing the development of information integration middleware and wireless computing platforms. Prior to that role, Mr. Sastry led the development of enterprise portal solutions for large enterprises. Mr. Sastry also brings extensive experience in strategy and client services from his tenure at The Boston Consulting Group and Unisys Corporation.

Mr. Sastry is an honors graduate of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science with a bachelor of science degree in electrical engineering and electronics engineering. He also holds a master of business administration degree with distinction from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
